Kylen Davis, Growing Up Jordan Atwater

The ONE CHICAGO fans were introduced to Officer Atwater’s younger brother, Jordan Atwater, in 2017.  In S5 E4 “Snitch” and S5 E5 “Home”, Jordan was seen as a witness to a gang-related crime, resulting in him being sent away to live with his sister in Texas, a decision Kevin made in fear of gang retaliation for his younger brother’s involvement.  Over the years, viewers got to observe more of Jordan’s character evolving. The love-hate-love sibling relationship between Kevin and Jordan was on full display in S7 E10 “Mercy” and in S7 E11 “43rd and Normal” with both brothers opposing each other over a decision Jordan had made in protecting a friend who was in grave trouble.  Season 8 begins where Season 7 had left off with Jordan still exhibiting intense emotions towards his older brother Kevin.

But that is Jordan Atwater.

Kylen Davis is a Mississippi born actor who has tucked under his belt a rather impressive resume.  He has played roles in two Marvel movies: Fantastic Four and Ant-Man.  He then appeared in the James Brown biopic “Get on Up” starring alongside Chadwick Bosewick.  He has played a role alongside Matthew McConaughey in “The Free State of Jones”, and since then has managed to carve out a strong acting career in television.

In 2017, he played Shawn Campbell in a Fox mini-drama series “Shots Fired” while also playing the role of Jordan Atwater on the NBC TV series “Chicago PD”.  He follows that up with an inspiring role of Malik, in the Netflix hit show “Raising Dion”.

Kylen Davis exemplifies what Meryl Streep is quoted saying, “Giving voice to characters that have no other voice – that’s the great worth of what we do.”  It is obvious that Kylen Davis can deliver the goods.  He is a character actor – while his roles may be short and sweet, he still lets the audience feel each of his character’s presence.
