If you are a Chicago PD fan, you have seen Kurt Naebig (Nāe-big) more than once over the past seven years. He is best remembered as Lt. Bruce Belden going toe to toe with Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) and Hank Voight (Jason Beghe).

TV Talk Amy had the opportunity to chat with Kurt, about being an actor/director. He was a semi-pro skateboarder and owns his own skateboard before he turned twenty. Kurt stumbled on an improv class in high school that change the course of his life.

Kurt’s thoughts on watching themselves on screen “

At first it was difficult  to watch because you start noticing things that you don’t like about yourself. But, it’s hard to become a better film actor if you can’t understand what your on screen choices look like. Sometimes you think you’re doing something on camera but it doesn’t really show up. And other times you may think you’re being subtle… And when you look back at the film you realize, “what I was doing was too big for the frame.” So I always watch at least once to see what I can learn.”

Kurt is an active member/teacher of the Acting Studio Chicago.
